Follow me!
It has been a quiet week so far, but the week is young. My bloggers are more confident and keen to explore what Blogger has to offer. It is amazing to see how creative the students’ blog are, I hope that this creativity will expand to their journals too! So far we have been exploring the ‘Follow this Blog’ function which is great; it allows a group of people to share their blogs which will work well in the primary classroom. I would like to ask each of my ‘followers’ to send me an idea for using Blogs in the classroom. At least this will test to see if anyone is actually reading my blog!

Me, Dan and Jemma think that if the helpur heddiw were to spend the last ten minutes of the day writing on their class blog about what they have learnt, what they have enjoyed and what they didn't. That way they the pupils can reflect on their learning and the teacher can gain constructive feedback on lessons they did and improve them accordingly. : )
wow i've been called creative, that makes a change. i think a use for blogs in the classroom could be posting childrens proudest work for all to see. this would be a great way to boost their self esteem and build up a collection of their favourite work.
Thats a nice idea, Mark... you feeling ok?
To comment further on our original idea, maybe they could only answer one of the previous questions, or as much as they feel comfortable with, so that it doesn't feel like a chore to Helpwr Heddiw - as it is supposed to be a reward.
Me, nadine and Gemma think that the children can use blogging at the end of the week, to discuss what they have learnt during the week, what they have enjoyed, what they like to do more of and any further questions they would like to research or ask!
Could you set some form of task/HWK for pupils to complete and then post it to their Blog during a school holiday?
This may increase student use of Blogs, offer some form of peer review or just the fact that other pupils may leave constructive feedback comments could contiue to build a students self-esteem.
This does assume that all pupils have PC and internet access in the home though!
